Are you under 25 years of age?
Did your parents take you to see a doctor about your stammer, or did your parents ask a teacher or other professional about your stammer? Was the advice to either - "wait and see as it is early days yet," - "wait and see as your child is still very young" - "Don't worry they Will grow out of it" - "Don't worry most children grow out of their stammers" Did this advice delay your parents taking you to see the Speech and language Therapist by even one week?
The advice your parents received is a direct contradiction of the standard advice from the British Stammering Association and MOST experts on stammering.
